SummarizeVideo.ai is operated by Hwee-Boon Yar. This page describes the data used by the website and hosted MCP service.

Account and sign-in information

We store your email address, account identifiers, sign-in method and name when provided. Google sign-in also uses your Google account identifier. Magic-link sign-in uses an email link or code. Your browser stores your signed-in account details and session token in local storage.

Agent keys are stored as hashes, with a label, scopes, expiry, last-use time and revocation status. You can revoke keys from the Agent keys page. Expiry and revocation stop access; they do not delete your summaries.

OAuth connections store your account association, client identifier, approved permissions, expiry and revocation, along with authorization-code and token hashes. Refresh history is retained to detect reuse. Connections last up to 30 days and can be revoked from Connections. Pending approval details stay in the original tab's session storage and expire after 30 minutes. The consent page does not load website analytics.

Video requests and results

We store the public video URL you submit, your selected language, account association, processing status and errors, summary, source metadata and transcript when retained. We use these records to process requests, return results, handle retries and enforce account limits. The service retrieves content from video platforms and may download audio. Audio and text are sent to OpenAI for transcription and summarization.

Saved account summaries and transcripts require account access. Anonymous preview excerpts can be read using the preview's claim token until it is claimed or expires. The service operator can access records for support and operation. When you connect an MCP client, that client receives the results of its permitted tool calls. Its provider handles those results under its own policies. SummarizeVideo.ai does not need your wider conversation history to run these tools.

Service emails can include the source URL and a summary attachment. Feedback includes your message or rating, account or email association and, where relevant, the summary request. Private operational notifications can include account details, source URLs and feedback.

Usage, previews and payments

When configured, Clicky measures website traffic and PostHog records product usage and session replays. Usage records can include pages, interactions, device and network information. Signed-in PostHog records can be associated with your email and account identifiers. Browser storage supports sign-in and usage measurement. Inputs are masked in replays; displayed content may still be included.

Anonymous previews use a keyed hash of your network address to enforce limits, along with a claim-token hash and processing records. Preview visitor hashes are cleared by an hourly cleanup after they are more than 48 hours old. Claim tokens expire after seven days; this does not delete the resulting content.

Stripe handles checkout and payment information. We store payment status, amount, currency and Stripe references to manage passes and usage. The subtitle text and format converters process pasted text and selected files in your browser; conversion does not upload those files to our processing service.

Service providers

We use Hetzner for hosting, OpenAI for AI processing, Google for optional sign-in, Postmark for email, Stripe for payments, PostHog and Clicky for analytics, Better Stack for operational logs, and Telegram for private operational notifications. Requested video platforms provide source content. Loading source images or opening source links can contact those platforms directly.

These providers process the information needed for their role. Their own policies describe their data handling, including retention and processing locations.

Retention and requests

Accounts, video requests, summaries and retained transcripts do not currently have a general automatic deletion deadline. Temporary audio and transcript-cache files are removed after completed processing where cleanup succeeds; failed or incomplete work can leave files behind. A sign-in link or key expiring does not delete its stored record.

Logs, backups, emails, payment records and provider-held data can have separate retention. We do not promise immediate removal from those systems. Email hboon@motionobj.com to ask about your stored information or request access, correction or deletion. We may need to verify account ownership before handling a request.
